What Every Man Should Know About Using Premature Ejaculation Medicine

Between 30 and 70% of men have trouble lasting long enough in bed, and inevitably some of these end up using premature ejaculation medicine. The frustration of not pleasuring your partner can lead us to look for any solution to this problem. A pill that can quickly and easily cure the problem may seem like an ideal fix.

There are lots of places that will sell you all sorts of pills and potions that make all sorts of claims but it can be very difficult to find out if they actually work and what are their side effects?

It's also worth remembering that there are no federally approved treatments for the disorder and that anything you do take is not recommended by the scientific community.

Some common medications that are available for premature ejaculation include
Desensitizing sprays or creams, which often contain no more than a mild local anesthetic, are wildly available. They will work to reduce the stimulation which can lead to climax but they will also severely reduce the pleasure of intercourse.

They are usually applied five minutes before intercourse but there is an issue with timing, if the treatment is applied too early, then achieving an erection may prove to be impossible, while if applied to late then the numbing agent can be spread to the partner's genitals. You could be having sex with someone who can't feel what's going on.

Depression medication, such as Prozac, has been found to prolong sexual relations. All SSRI s will do this but again there are considerable side effects. Many people on the medication complain of loss of concentration, poor sleep, elevated levels of aggression and when combined with alcohol it will magnify the problems of both. There is also the issue of dependence, when you stop taking the pills you may suffer withdrawal symptoms.

Other herbal treatments are usually based on St John's Wort or 5-htp from extract of Griffonia simplicifolia. They are often advertised as Natural Viagra or similar. These have not been proven scientifically and can cost hundreds of dollars and need to be taken hours before the act. Spontaneous sex can't be planned.

Every medication will have some kind of side effect. Despite common beliefs, natural or homeopathic remedies can be just as bad. They may work well for you in both the short and long term but there is also the risk that it can make other aspects of your sexual relationship and general health worse as well.

It's important to get all the details of the potentially horrible side effects of medication designed to help men last longer
before you consider taking them.
